Mitigator Ford Fusion to tackle the high banks of THE ROCK

The MitiGator Ford Fusion will arrive at the rock 3rd in points after three straight top ten finishes to start the year.

There are some race tracks that I absolutely love to go to. The one mile speedway in Rockingham North Carolina is one of those places.  Rockingham Speedway is perfect for the USAR Pro Cup Series cars. The track is extremely fast with speeds well over 160 mph.

The Mitigator Ford Fusion will be on hand friday for practice and qualifying, and then Saturday afternoon for the 200 lap event. If your going to be in the area on Saturday, stop by Rockingham Speedway and introduce yourself during the autograph session.

The MitiGator Ford Fusion will be putting it’s Mitigator outfitted seat to the test as the track has not been repaved in quite sometime. The track is extremely rough in spots and by having the MitiGator impact and vibration resistant material in the seat, it allows me to keep my concentration on one thing – Winning!

An event filled may kicks off at Hickory Motor Speedway

The month of may is going to be a busy one for all of us at Mitigatorinc.com. I have posted a list of events at the bottom of this blog, but the hectic month kicked off this past weekend at Hickory Motor speedway with the Wix Filters 250. We had trouble getting the live webcast up and running this past weekend, and for that we do apologize. We were able to do live twitter updates from the event. Make sure your following us on twitter throughout the month of May as we are going to have some awesome things happening throughout the month.

As far as the race goes, the Mitigator Ford Fusion has been on a tear the last two race weekends finishing 3rd and 2nd respectively. But Hickory was another story, We struggled in practice and during the race we just couldn’t get the breaks we needed to bring home a top five finish. It was disappointing but we fought back and brought home a tenth place finish. The Mitigator Ford now sits third in points heading into the race at Rockingham Speedway on May 15th.

Like I said before May is going to be busy, so if you are going to be anywhere near these future events come by and introduce yourself. The goal is to do a live webcast from each of these events.

May 1st Wix Filters 250 Hickory Motor Speedway – Hickory, NC

May 15th Rockingham 200 Rockingham Raceway Park – Rockingham, NC

May 29th Langley 250 Langley Speedway – Langley, Va

May 29th – 30th Off Shore Powerboat Association, Ocean City Maryland

Mitigatorinc.com to do another live webcast from the pits at the Legendary Hickory Motor Speedway

Mitigatorinc.com will be doing another live webcast from the pits at Hickory Motor Speedway on May 1st

On May 1st, Mitigatorinc.com will be doing another live webcast from the pit area of Gibson Motorsports at the Legendary Hickory Motor Speedway. Our first webcast was such a success with over 1,000 people tuning in during the race!

We are not sure what type of internet connection we are going to have at the legendary speedway, so if we encounter some internet problems we will be doing live updates on our twitter page and on Facebook. So make sure you are following us!

You can tune into the event by visiting Mitigatorinc.com and scrolling down looking at the right hand side of the page.  The broadcast will be underneath where it says MITIGATORLIVE TV STOCK CAR RACING. The broadcast will start playing once you log onto Mitigatorinc.com. You can then click to open it up to a larger window. There will also be live chat where you can talk to other racefans throughout the country.

This is the third event of the year for the USAR Pro Cup Series. The Mitigator Ford fusion is second in points and is coming off its best run of the year of a second place finish at New Smyrna Speedway.

So check back on Saturday to catch the event, the webcast should be up and running around 7:30 or so.

Mitigator Ford Fusion finishes third after leading 52 laps at the Racing Electronics 250

I’ve never been accused of sandbagging before, but this weekend the entire Gibson Motorsports crew was. The Mitigator Ford Fusion showed up at the newly rennovated half-mile and was pretty far off the pace on fridays practice session. We could only muster up the 16th best time on fridays practice session. But Saturday was a different story. We showed up Saturday morning and completely went through the car and with help from our crew got the car where she was handeling pretty good in the saturdays practice sessions. We finished practice with the 7th best time and felt like we had a pretty good car.

After a few more adjustments it was time for qualifying.

You can tell from the video that the car was a dream to drive. We ended up qualifying 4th for the event.

Once the green flag fell on the event, we quickly jumped out front and the Mitigator Ford Fusion led the first 52 laps of the event before surrendering the lead to come to pit road for tires and fuel. We tried our best to make a run back to the front and almost pulled it off. We worked our way back to second place with about 25 laps to go. But the car just wasn’t the same as it was earlier in the race. The track had cooled down a little bit and we were just to tight to be able to run with Clay Rogers. We ended up finishing third. But all in all it was a great way to start out the year. Up next the Mitigator Ford will be traveling to New Smyrna Speedway in New Smyrna beach, Florida on April 17th in hopes to continue the momentum.  Don’t Forget to checkout our Extreme Sports Blog where we are going to be posting a couple more videos and pictures from the event.
