MitiGator powerboat ready to run this weekend at the OPA World Championships at Orange Beach, Alabama

The MitiGator offshore powerboat is looking to get back to its early season success at the OPA World Championships

The Offshore Powerboat Association (OPA) is having their biggest event of the year this weekend, the OPA World Championships in Orange Beach, Alabama on Oct 12-17th. This will be the final race of the year for the MitiGator Powerboat and it is looking to put a string of bad luck in its wake. The MitiGator Powerboat started out the year with a victory but engine troubles and rough waves have taken its toll on the Virginia based team.

Not to mention while testing for the World Championships the team broke a drive on the boat, and has spent the last week making repairs to the MitiGator Powerboat. If you can’t make it out to the races but are going to be in the Orange Beach area, tune into 105.7 for a live broadcast from the races. But this is going to be something that your going to want to see in person. Driver Warren Miller is expecting 20-25 boats per class! So come by and take a look at the MitiGator equipped powerboat and check out the races from Orange Beach! Its going to be big, make sure you are following us on twitter for updates from the race week, and check back to our offshore blog for the results!

If you do get to make it out to the race this weekend, stop by the MitiGator Powerboat and check out the MitiGator Cushioning system in action. The MitiGator Powerboat seats have been equipped with MitiGator and protect both the driver and throttleman from Impacts and vibrations that the rough seas produce.

MitiGator Off-Shore Powerboat update

The MitiGator offshore powerboat will be at St. Claire Michigan on July 23-25th. Come by and check out the MitiGator equipped seats in the Off-shore Powerboat!

I received an email this past weekend from the MitiGator Off Shore Powerboat’s driver Warren Miller this past weekend with some disappointing news. The team is preparing for what is turning out to be one of the biggest events of the year. This coming weekend at St. Claire Michigan the MitiGator Off-shore powerboat will take to the choppy water at its only freshwater event.

Warren had made all of the repairs to the boat since the race at Florida sidelined the team with some damage. The team took the boat out on the water this past week to ensure that everything was fixed. During testing, the engine broke a roller and “trashed the motor” according to warren. Luckily one of the areas that they addressed this off-season was the addition of a spare motor for cases like this. The spare is in the boat and the team is again testing before the race on July 25th. The next 2 weekends will be spent in Michigan, so if your going to be in the area come by and check out the Mitigator equipped off-shore powerboat this sunday. The race will not disappoint!

This race Warren will actually be taking time away from the driver’s seat and will be acting as a throttle-man. The course at St. Claire has right hand turns instead of left, So warren is substituting a new driver and is going to try to take home the checkered flag for the MitiGator Off-shore Powerboat!
