Both MitiGator race-teams look to get back on the winning track in the month of July

Well summer has been here for a few weeks now, and it already looks like it is going to be a scorcher out here in North Carolina. We’ve been really busy at MitiGatorinc.com, we are always looking for ways that we can institute the MitiGator cushioning system into products that desperately need it. July has already proved to be a busy but rather productive month for us as we have opened our new R&D building in Tampa Florida. One of the first things we are going to be doing is outfitting ATV seats with MitiGator, and then we are going to do some testing to document the results. These are the same ATV’s that I wrote on last weeks blog update. This past weekend we shot some video showing how little support the seats on a typical ATV/4 wheelers have. We will be uploading  this video to our youtube stream here shortly.

The MitiGator Offshore boat will be in Michigan for two weekends of racing

July is also busy for our two racing teams, The MitiGator off shore power boat team will have back to back weekends of racing in the state of Michigan starting this coming weekend on July 18th when they look to take home the checkered flag at Harrison Township. The following weekend, July 25th they will be battling for the win at St. Claire Michigan. The MitiGator Offshore Power Boat has been the boat to beat at the first two events, so if your going to be in the area come on by and check out the MitiGator equipped seats in the boat. Who knows maybe Driver Warren Miller will let you sit in cockpit and checkout just how comfortable it can be.

The MitiGator Ford Fusion will be on hand at the Iowa Speedway where you'll be able to tune in and watch our webcast from the Gibson Motorsports pits, and listen to On-board radio communications

The MitiGator Ford Fusion will also be invading the midwest on July 30th when the car will be on hand at the extremely fast Iowa Speedway. We currently are sitting 5th in points and are looking forward to the track where speeds will reach close to 160mph. We will be doing a live webcast from the track and you will be able to listen to on-board radio communication between driver, spotter, crew chief and crew at the 3/4 high speed oval. This is a race that we have had circled on our calendar for quite sometime and our plan is to make the trek and win the thing infront of the capacity crowd that will be on hand.

You can see we’ve got a lot going on so make sure you keep checking back as we will be updating this page along with our Twitter and Facebook pages with the latest news and amazing videos from the month of July.

Team MitiGator has a successful weekend of racing!

After Battling transmission issues the MitiGator Ford Fusion battled back to record it

This past Memorial Day weekend proved to be a very successful weekend of racing for both the Mitigator Ford Fusion, and Team MitiGator Offshore powerboat team.

The weekend kicked off with the Hampton, VA 250 from Langley Speedway. The MitiGator Ford fusion and the Gibson Motorsports crew entered the event coming off of four straight top ten finishes and was sitting 2nd in points. The weekend started off with transmission troubles, which couldn’t be resolved. We were all pretty disapointed but luckily J.P Morgan’s team had an extra transmission for us to use for the event. The team had to change the transmission during practice and missed about an hour of practice because of it. The MitiGator ford still qualified for the event in 9th place and brought home a hard fought 8th place finish. The next event is in 2 weeks at South Boston Speedway on June 12th.

After Starting the race in 2nd position Team MitiGator took the lead early and never looked back!

On sunday afternoon it was the MitiGator off shore powerboat’s turn at the season opener at Ocean City Maryland. The event was a huge success with the beaches packed with people to see the powerful boats take to the open water. The water was rather choppy, but this fit the MitiGator boat as new throttle man Al Colbertson is known for his ability to drive in the rough water. The team had a good draw, and rolled off the start in 2nd position. At the end of the first lap The MitiGator boat had taken the lead and never looked back. It ended up taking home the checkered flag almost half a lap ahead of 2nd place. The  next event for the team is June 11th in Sunny Isle, Florida.

Make sure you check our YouTube page for videos from both events.

Team MitiGator™ High Priority Offshore Racing is pleased and proud to announce that MitiGator, the primary sponsor of OPA Team MitiGator™ Offshore for the last two years, has signed on to sponsor the MitiGator boat for the 2010 season.

Barbara McKinney, President of Sea Systems Group (SEAS) said “We are happy to be the primary sponsor of Team MitiGator™ High Priority Offshore Racing for 2010.  Our relationship with them continues as we jointly work to develop and evaluate innovative new MitiGator products for the marine industry.  We have high hopes that “Team MitiGator Racing” and www.mitigatorinc.com will evolve into a new business unit that has an impact on all types of motorsports from offshore to off-road and asphalt and dirt.”
