The Mitigator Ford Fusion showed up at the newly rennovated half-mile and was pretty far off the pace on fridays practice session. We could only muster up the 16th best time on fridays practice session. But Saturday was a different story. We showed up Saturday morning and completely went through the car and with help from our crew got the car where she was handeling pretty good in the saturdays practice sessions. We finished practice with the 7th best time and felt like we had a pretty good car.

After a few more adjustments it was time for qualifying.

You can tell from the video that the car was a dream to drive. We ended up qualifying 4th for the event.

Once the green flag fell on the event, we quickly jumped out front and the Mitigator Ford Fusion led the first 52 laps of the event before surrendering the lead to come to pit road for tires and fuel. We tried our best to make a run back to the front and almost pulled it off. We worked our way back to second place with about 25 laps to go. But the car just wasn’t the same as it was earlier in the race. The track had cooled down a little bit and we were just to tight to be able to run with Clay Rogers. We ended up finishing third. But all in all it was a great way to start out the year. Up next the Mitigator Ford will be traveling to New Smyrna Speedway in New Smyrna beach, Florida on April 17th in hopes to continue the momentum.  Don’t Forget to checkout our Extreme Sports Blog where we are going to be posting a couple more videos and pictures from the event.

MitigatorInc also setup a demo to allow you to feel the benefits of the Mitigator and it proved to be a very effective demonstration.  We had many people/Teams interested in implementing our product in their race cars so we were pretty busy gathering information to ship out product.
