The anti-impact, anti-vibration pHow Miti-GAIT works.roperties of each Miti-GAIT mattress are attributed to what’s at its core – an extensively engineered cushioning system which utilizes advanced Air Channel Technology to dissipate energy from impacts and vibrations.  This patented cushioning system is known as MitiGator Technology™.  Researched and developed by SEA Systems Group Inc. and tested by the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, and independent laboratories, Mitigator™ has been validated as a revolutionary technology that absorbs and dissipates energy from vibration, impacts, and even blasts!  The shock and vibration dampening features of the MitiGator™ reduces acceleration by over 90% in drop/impact tests, and attenuates up to 75% of whole body vibration.  Developed through a collaborative effort of engineers and equine veterinarians to address the problem of equine transport fatigue, the Miti-GAIT Equine Transport Mattress is now available to mitigate the harmful forces of road impacts, rumble, and vibration and allow your horse to be transported and arrive fresh, focused, relaxed, and ready to win.

The Death of Dan Wheldon

Over the weekend Indy racer Dan Wheldon died in a horrific car crash at Las Vegas Motor Speedway that will be remembered as one the most terrible racing tragedies in recent memory.

Fellow racers and fans were shocked and saddened by Wheldons’ untimely death. His death is reminiscent of the passing of another famous racer, Dale Earnhardt, who died during a NASCAR race in 2001.

An autopsy performed on Weldon showed that he died from head injuries(blunt force trauma)when his vehicle went airborne ejecting the cockpit into the crash fence.

After the tragedy, there has been intense debate on whether the spectacular crash in Las Vegas could have been averted. NASCAR champ Jimmy Johnson says that Indy cars should not be racing on ovals. ” I wouldn’t run them on ovals. There’s just no need to. Those cars are fantastic for street circuits, for road courses, etc.”said Johnson.

There is no doubt that Indy Car and NASCAR will make significant improvements on vehicles and equipment to further reduce the risk of serious injury or death. Wheldon’s death serves as a chilling reminder just how dangerous race car driving is. Our hearts and prayers go out to Dan Wheldon’s family and friends.

The MitiGator™ Technology is an engineered cushioning system designed to protect people and equipment from these assaults and to allow them to continue to perform their jobs or enjoy their leisure time. The MitiGator™ uses patented air control technology working with over 4,000 surfaces per square foot to dissipate energy before it is transmitted to the body and thus help alleviate the problems. The Death Of An Icon

Steve Jobs shows off iPhone 4 at the 2010 Worl...

Image via Wikipedia

Steve Jobs once said ” being the richest man in the cemetery doesn’t matter to me. Going to bed at night saying we’ve done something wonderful, that’s what matters to me.”

Steve Jobs was a man who had a vision for the kind of products he wanted to produce for consumers. He has been called many things: visionary, genius, titan of industry, but Steve Jobs will be remembered as a man who simply wanted to change the world.

The death of Steve Jobs has put into perspective just how amazing Jobs was. Steve wasn’t concerned about impressing focus groups, he wanted to create products that he loved and enjoyed. He was more of an artist than a tech designer.  Today the world is better off because of Steve Jobs. His products have changed the way we live, communicate, and do business. Many companies, including our own, owe Steve Jobs a debt of gratitude for making products that make doing business easier and more efficient.

With all the problems in the world, we could certainly use more men like Steve Jobs to innovate, create, and make products that make the world a happier and more peaceful place.

It should be our sincere hope that with the death of Steve Jobs brings to life a new generation of innovators and entrepreneurs who can challenge the status quo  and follow their creative vision, just like Steve did. In his death, we celebrate a life that was full of accomplishment and triumph. Steve serves as an inspiration to that rebel within us that inspires us to chart our own course in the choppy waters of life. May you rest in peace Steve Jobs, you will always be remembered.

The New iPhone 5… I mean iPhone 4s

Image representing Apple as depicted in CrunchBase

Image via CrunchBase

Yesterday the Apple universe was anticipating the much awaited iPhone 5 that was supposed to bring down the heavens and do your taxes all at the same time-instead, we got the iPhone 4s. Looking at the 4s, you’ll notice that it’s almost identical to the iPhone 4. So if you were looking for a wider screen and thinner frame, you’ll be disappointed.

What makes the iPhone 4s standout is its voice activated personal assistant Siri, which allows you to set up your daily calender, alarm, search for movie times, and other queries all through voice commands.

Seems impressive, however the Siri app is already available for the iPhone 4, so this is nothing we haven’t already seen before. Other subtle changes are its faster processor that is not noticeable  to the naked eye compared to the iPhone 4. Surely the iPhone 4s will make impressive sales numbers, but there was a wow factor missing when the phone was introduced yesterday.

The magic that was around previous phones just wasn’t there. Maybe it’s the absence of Steve Jobs, perhaps it’s just that the phone didn’t break any barriers like older phones.  Looks like we’ll have to wait a little bit longer for the iPhone 5.
