MitiGator Ford Fusion Set to Pay Tribute to 9/11 Victims at Bristol Motor Speedway

On September 11th 2010 the MitiGator Ford Fusion will be debuting a special paint scheme at Bristol Motor Speedway, honoring the thousands of lives that were lost at the World Trade Center attacks

It’s hard to believe that nine years has passed since the devastating terrorist attacks at the World Trade Center.  The anniversary of these attacks is less than two weeks away and it offers us a time to remember and reflect on this tragic time in history.

MitiGatorinc.com is committed to supporting our military troops and currently has outfitted over 50,000 military vehicles with the MitiGator cushioning system.

On September 11, 2010 the MitiGator Ford Fusion will be competing at Bristol Motor Speedway.  As a tribute to the thousands of victims and fallen firefighters, police officers, and rescue workers that died in the World Trade Center attacks, the MitiGator Ford Fusion will be carrying a commemorative paint scheme to honor the victims and to also pay tribute to the military personnel actively fighting to protect our freedom.

Make sure you come out to Bristol for the September 11, 2010 USAR Pro Cup Championiship Series Race #2.  For those of you who cannot make it to the track, tune in to MitiGatorinc.com for a live webcast from the “World’s Fastest Half-Mile”.

MitiGatorinc.com next webcast to be broadcast from the USAR Pro Cup championship series opener at Concord Speedway on August 28th

The next live webcast will be from the famed Concord Speedway on August 28th.

During our last broadcast from the Iowa 150 we had over 500 viewers log on to watch the MitiGator Ford Fusion from the pits of Gibson Motorsports. Unfortunately the race didn’t end the way we were hoping it would. So we’ve decided to do another webcast from the pits again at the 1/2 mile Concord Speedway on August 28th. Our hope this time is to break the 1,000 viewer mark!

Just like our last webcast you will be able to listen in during the event to live radio communication between the Gibson Motorsports crew. This was a feature that we added for the first time during the Iowa event. The radio communication is crystal clear over the webcast. If you didn’t tune in for the Iowa broadcast, you don’t know what your missing!

The MitiGator Ford Fusion finished 6th at last years Concord event and looks to get away from this bad luck that has been plaguing the last 3 races. So tune in around 7PM on August 28th to watch and listen to the MitiGator Ford rocket around the extremely fast half-mile speedway.

Mitigatorinc.com has a successful webcast from Iowa Speedway, but the MitiGator Ford has disappointing finish

the MitiGator Ford #13 salvaged what it could after being caught up in someone else's mess on lap 1. It would post an 11th place finish

Over 500 people logged on to our webcast this past friday night to watch the Blue Ox 150 from Iowa Speedway. I suspect there could of been more, but the late start of the race because of the rain probably kept a lot of you folks on the east coast from logging on. You can still watch the broadcast in it entirety from our youstream page. This was the first event where you could listen to live in-race audio from the Gibson Motorsports crew. The webcast was a huge success and we are planning on doing more!

I wish the same could be said about the MitiGator Ford Fusion. The MitiGator Ford was strong during practice and was poised to try to race for the win at the extremely fast Iowa short track. However with qualifying being rained out the MitiGator Ford would be lined up in 10th spot to start the race. This would prove to be another case of bad luck, when the field took the green flag someone a few rows up missed a shift coming to the green flag and stacked up the field and caused a 4 car pileup. Because of the  10th place start, the MitiGator Ford had no where to go and was caught up in the lap 1 crash. the team salvaged what they could and eventually settled for a 11th place finish. A disappointing day to say the least.

Thanks again everyone who logged on and made our webcast a success.

MitiGator Off-Shore Powerboat update

The MitiGator offshore powerboat will be at St. Claire Michigan on July 23-25th. Come by and check out the MitiGator equipped seats in the Off-shore Powerboat!

I received an email this past weekend from the MitiGator Off Shore Powerboat’s driver Warren Miller this past weekend with some disappointing news. The team is preparing for what is turning out to be one of the biggest events of the year. This coming weekend at St. Claire Michigan the MitiGator Off-shore powerboat will take to the choppy water at its only freshwater event.

Warren had made all of the repairs to the boat since the race at Florida sidelined the team with some damage. The team took the boat out on the water this past week to ensure that everything was fixed. During testing, the engine broke a roller and “trashed the motor” according to warren. Luckily one of the areas that they addressed this off-season was the addition of a spare motor for cases like this. The spare is in the boat and the team is again testing before the race on July 25th. The next 2 weekends will be spent in Michigan, so if your going to be in the area come by and check out the Mitigator equipped off-shore powerboat this sunday. The race will not disappoint!

This race Warren will actually be taking time away from the driver’s seat and will be acting as a throttle-man. The course at St. Claire has right hand turns instead of left, So warren is substituting a new driver and is going to try to take home the checkered flag for the MitiGator Off-shore Powerboat!

Both MitiGator race-teams look to get back on the winning track in the month of July

Well summer has been here for a few weeks now, and it already looks like it is going to be a scorcher out here in North Carolina. We’ve been really busy at MitiGatorinc.com, we are always looking for ways that we can institute the MitiGator cushioning system into products that desperately need it. July has already proved to be a busy but rather productive month for us as we have opened our new R&D building in Tampa Florida. One of the first things we are going to be doing is outfitting ATV seats with MitiGator, and then we are going to do some testing to document the results. These are the same ATV’s that I wrote on last weeks blog update. This past weekend we shot some video showing how little support the seats on a typical ATV/4 wheelers have. We will be uploading  this video to our youtube stream here shortly.

The MitiGator Offshore boat will be in Michigan for two weekends of racing

July is also busy for our two racing teams, The MitiGator off shore power boat team will have back to back weekends of racing in the state of Michigan starting this coming weekend on July 18th when they look to take home the checkered flag at Harrison Township. The following weekend, July 25th they will be battling for the win at St. Claire Michigan. The MitiGator Offshore Power Boat has been the boat to beat at the first two events, so if your going to be in the area come on by and check out the MitiGator equipped seats in the boat. Who knows maybe Driver Warren Miller will let you sit in cockpit and checkout just how comfortable it can be.

The MitiGator Ford Fusion will be on hand at the Iowa Speedway where you'll be able to tune in and watch our webcast from the Gibson Motorsports pits, and listen to On-board radio communications

The MitiGator Ford Fusion will also be invading the midwest on July 30th when the car will be on hand at the extremely fast Iowa Speedway. We currently are sitting 5th in points and are looking forward to the track where speeds will reach close to 160mph. We will be doing a live webcast from the track and you will be able to listen to on-board radio communication between driver, spotter, crew chief and crew at the 3/4 high speed oval. This is a race that we have had circled on our calendar for quite sometime and our plan is to make the trek and win the thing infront of the capacity crowd that will be on hand.

You can see we’ve got a lot going on so make sure you keep checking back as we will be updating this page along with our Twitter and Facebook pages with the latest news and amazing videos from the month of July.

are we just accepting common pain and not doing anything to help prevent it?

A weekend of riding 4-wheelers left me wondering if we are just accepting pain and not doing anything to help prevent it.

This past weekend we celebrated the fourth of July by having a bonfire and of course grilling hot dogs and making smores. My brother’s girlfriend ended up bringing over her 4-wheelers and we had a blast riding them. We rode them so much this past weekend. We went over jumps, of course had a few races. We spent Saturday and Sunday doing a lot of riding on our land. This monday morning I woke up to my back killing me! My arms and back were absolutely on fire. But this got me thinking, “Geeze.. I’ve got to get Mitigator in these seats!”

The seats come off the 4-wheelers pretty easily, and it wouldn’t be very hard at all to install them. The MitiGator would solve the problems with my back from riding the 4-wheeler. But this blog isn’t about how we have engineered 4-wheeler seats installed with MitiGator ( which we could ). But rather it is about no longer accepting the pains that come with our passions. If I rode 4-wheelers all the time and didn’t know that there was a product that I could install in the seats that would eliminate my back pain, I would just assume that my lower back pain is something that I am going to have to get use to if I go riding all day long. But the MitiGator is designed to absorb impacts and vibrations from being absorb through your body. Here’s the kicker, it is another beautiful day here in North Carolina and I can’t even come close to riding again because how bad my back hurts. So imagine being able to install the MitiGator in your seats, or in whatever causes your pain to flair up, and then continue to enjoy your leisure time or get more done at work. So don’t just accept the pain that comes with your work or passions. Contact us today and let us try to to do something to eliminate your nagging pain.

MitiGator put to the test during a hard crash at Charlotte Motor Speedway

Hunter Richards driving a bandolero like the ones shown here experienced just how safe a seat can be when it is equipped with MitiGator

This past week we received a letter from a Father who’s son Hunter Richards races a bandolero race car weekly at the summer shootout series at Charlotte Motor Speedway, I have attended these races before and they are a great way for a driver to get noticed. They will attract a ton of cars, but this also makes it  very dangerous. One of the worst crashes I have ever seen was during the Summer Shootout Series. Hunter was involved in a very nasty accident, to the point where it actually broke one of the spokes in the steering wheel. Luckily the bandolero seat had been outfitted with the shock abosrbant MitiGator material. The MitiGator did its job and Hunter came out of the accident with only a slight bruise on the hand from where the steering wheel broke. This prompted his father to send us a letter thanking us, and I wanted to share this letter with our visitors to this site.

“As a Father I would like to thank you for your MitiGator High Impact Cushioning System my son Hunter’s seat was fitted with at Richardson Racing Products. I see now how that allowed them to build us the best Race seat I have ever seen. I was told of how your MitiGator System works in other race cars and boats, along with the ability to protect our soldiers as they use it in the Military Vehicles of all types. I want to let other parents know that if they have a Son or Daughter racing or they race themselves they need to install this product into their seat. It will make any professional racing seat safer and more comfortable. With the introduction to the MitiGator High Impact Cushioning System as Matt at Richardson’s Racing Products installed it at their facility I became a true believer in the ability of how MitiGator would make our new seat the safest seat we could provide him.

Last Monday night at Charlotte Motor Speedway my son Hunter’s new custom racing seat for his Bandolero Race Car was tested as he had the worst crash of his racing career. As he was practicing he came out of the second turn and another car spun-out right in front of him leaving him nowhere to go but hit him hard. Hunter hit him with his car that weighs in at 765 Lbs. creating a violent impact that caused a lot of damage like the following: we bent the Rack and Pinion steering which is located in the car and inside the drivers compartment, bent the Spindle and A-Frame, destroyed the front support Horns and Bumper, and completely wiped out the Front body of the Car. But to our surprise Hunter limped the car back to the pits with out as much as having the breathe knocked out of him, it was amazing Hunter said he was held so tight in the seat that he absolutely felt NOTHING except the spoke in the steering wheel snapped and bruised his hand. It is my opinion that the MitiGator should be mandatory in all forms of Racing after seeing it work first hand.”

Thanks Again,

Donald Richards

More proof that the MitiGator material not only makes a racing seat more comfortable, but also safer. For more information about outfitting your seat with MitiGator send me an email at John@MitiGatorinc.com
