2011 will mark the tenth anniversary for the tragic September 11th attacks that we all remember. The offshore powerboat association will be joining forces with Super Boat International for one event in 2011. The event will be held on September 10th on the Hudson River. What makes this particular race exciting is the fact that the event will start at the Statue of Liberty. With the merger of the two series for this event, it has the potential to be one of the biggest events ever.
Baring any bad luck throughout 2011, the MitiGator powerboat will be at this event to honor the 2001 victims and families. Last year MitiGatorinc.com honored the victims with a special paint scheme on the MitiGator Ford Fusion that raced at Bristol Motor Speedway.
The MitiGator powerboat has been outfitted with the MitiGator cushioning system to protect driver Warren Miller from the rough impacts that the waves of the sea can create. This is the same cushioning system that has been outfitted in over 85,000 Military vehicles to protect troops around the world from mine blasts and IED explosions.
